GENERAL KRO

Lord of the Deviants

With the bright Last Eternal must come the dark Master of the Deviants.

From his City of Toads, the Deviant stronghold exiled to the Negative Zone, General Kro plots his revenge against the son of the Eternals who broke his assault on the universe. On occasion, he escapes his miasmic prison-universe, wrecking havoc upon a vulnerable humanity. His latest plot is brilliant in its simplicity: an alliance of the greatest among OE II villainy, a power to match the hated Hyperion's Squadron; the terrible Squadron Sinister!

Character history:
General Kro is the monster who enslaved the Deviant people and conquered most of Earth before the time of the second Celestial Host. It was he who ordered the Leader built, warred on the Eternals, and ultimately doomed the magnificent civilization of that time. Since the Argonite weaponry of the time destroyed most of the immortal races, General Kro has brooded in the Negative Zone, plotting revenge. Now that he has the Negative Sled, allowing him free access to Other-Earth, he intends to kill Hyperion 'with his own hands' and take back rulership of the Earth!

Tactics:
Kro is a terrifying opponent with all of Hyperion's powers, if not quite at Hyperion's level. He is a more accomplished telepath, however, and considerably more ruthless. He delights in mayhem and gloats gleefully over prisoners. Kro will gladly give his word or parole, and break it in an instant. He does honor alliances, though he'll gladly abandon an ally to save his own skin. In actual combat, if his opponent can hurt him, he'll use his terrain to his advantage, using innocents for cover, toppling buildings and creating landslides to bury his opponent, and blasting from a distance with his 'Deviant Eyebeams.' He's like the devil, though, in that he cannot abide to be mocked. He will almost invariably charge straight for anyone who enrages him. This is generally unwise, however, unless the the taunter is superhumanly strong or quick.
